I can’t believe it’s already September! School just started so I’ve been really busy with the first week of classes, textbook buying and work. In August, I read seven books. Even though only two of those were full-length novels, they were both incredible so it felt like I read more. My favourites:
Amina’s Voice by Hena Khan is a middle-grade contemporary, the first MG released by Salaam Reads, the new S&S imprint. This is #OwnVoices for a Muslim MC and beautifully written!
Dragon Springs Road by Janie Chang – I loved this because it was historical fiction with some fantastical elements, which is pretty much my favourite! The writing just captivates the reader. It took me a bit to get into it, but once I did I couldn’t stop. I can’t wait to read the author’s first novel Three Souls.
Inuyasha Vol. 11-15 by Rumiko Takahashi
Amina’s Voice by Hena Khan
Dragon Springs Road by Janie Chang
