December Wrap-Up Post

5983694Happy New Year! It’s already 2017, time goes by so fast. I’ve been thinking about my reading goals for 2017 (which I’ll be posting soon) and have come to the realization I’m not completely happy with what I read in 2016. I read lots of things (75 books to be exact) but there were so many other books I wanted to read. I also feel like I read a lot more 5 star books in 2015. In 2017 I hope to read more diverse books, #OwnVoices and books on my backlist. I’d also like to finish some series versus starting new ones – I’m really bad with that.

Books Read:

All the Way Home by Natale Ghent

One Half from the East by Nadia Hashimi

Inuyasha Vol. 4-6 by Rumiko Takahashi

Where the Mountain Meets the Moon by Grace Lin

One Half from the East and Where the Mountain Meets the Moon were my favourite reads of December! I’m really excited to read more of both authors’ works in 2017. I wasn’t sure if I’d be able to finish my reading challenge of 75 books, but I was able to get in three books at the last minute. I only read one book for #12DaysofDiversity (Where the Mountain Meets the Moon) but better luck next time right?

    • It’s really good! I found it’s flown under the radar, her other books are definitely talked about more. I’d only heard about it close to its release and even then I hadn’t realized it’d come out – I thought it was coming out in 2017.
